ARTHUR MISSA FORMENVERFUFER
"Formenverfuger" by Arthur Missa is an extraordinary work in form and content, dissociating itself from all the other works in this section not only by his remarkable length of more than 150 pages. Put one step after another.
The book must be understood aus open and experimental work, which also demonstrates a huge variety of styles in typography made by Katja Eichfeld. Knowing that it's hard to find a commerciall editor to release an experimental work, Missa choose a quite outright way to release the book in 2008. A way that meshes perfectly with the open charakter of the book: To release the book under the CC 3.0 Licence, quite unordinary for a work of literature. In addition to that, a few hundred books has been printed and self-published. Three years later, "Formverfuger" hasn't just been an important step of creative working for Missa himself, writing children's books and novels right now. Because of its absurd but familiar facets and the remarkable typo, it'd be a pity if the book disappeared in well-known internet archives. Willingly, we have made the decision to dedicate space to this work here at Digital Kunstrasen. A book where you can feel free to print it out, to rip out the pages you don't like and to bring all stories to an end you prefer. You can hardly do a greater favour to the author than that. |
