DK SUPPORTED: 13. NEWCOMERFESTIVAL OF BOCHUM (WITH SAMPLER) 02/05/2011

Once again in 2011, we're proud to present you this year's newcomerfestival in Bochum. In the recent edition of our magazine you'll learn more about the ten bands participating in the two preliminaries this week and - in an ideal situation - will meet again in the festival's final in the middle of the month. Like always, you can get a musical impression by listening to the festival's sampler which you can download right here.

DK INTERVIEW WITH BYTEFM 20/08/2010

BYTEFM ist a multitudinous radio station from Hamburg, presenting all kinds of music and culture. Broadcasting "ByteFM Mixtape", the station gave Digital Kunstrase a whole hour. "CT das radio" broadcasts from Bochum and serves especially the students. Thomas Kempka has been standing up to questioning for 60 minutes to the host Navid Moshgbar.  DK SUPPORTED: 12. NEWCOMERFESTIVAL BOCHUM (WITH SAMPLER) 19/05/2010

Tomorrow, the final of the 12. Newcomerfestival of Bochum will go on stage, the second time supported by DK. And althought even we don't know who'll win and while Tauchsport, Selectamood, Boring Rockstars an No Badderation as finalists still might be in their dress rehearsals, we're proud to present the festival's sampler already: A Sampler with 10 tracks, which presents besides of the finalists also the other six participants of the preliminaries. DK REPORT AT RADIO Q 01/05/2010

A small party has taken place at the FZW Dortmund on april, 20th 2010 which has been a certain kind of DK's inofficial birthdayparty. DRadio Wissen is a new substation of the Deutschlandradio, which exists since january 2010 and aims to attract especially young people to a sophisticated radio programm. In 2009, the newcomerfestival of Bochum took place for the eleventh time. The variety of styles and artists was really amazing, representing the big potential of the music scene in the ruhrarea. The festival's sampler represents ten band, which are hardly to say similar in their genres and styles. But in one thing, they are all united: They are young and talented musicians, which surely will be heard of soon in the future.

 DIGITAL KUNSTRASEN AT THE PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY, UNI DUBLIN, IRLAND 10/11/2008

"Should all music be free" - Following this motto a discussion has taken place at the eldest debating club in the world, the Philosophical Society of Trinity University in Dublin, Ireland. Different capacities of music industry and music right's management took part in it.. Thomas Kempka and Meik Puppe had been invited by the University of Dublin and Meik acted for the label during the discussion. The radioshow Popmoderne at campusradio Bielefeld (Hertz 87.9) has made a birthday-special about netlabels at its birthday and - among others - made an interview with Digital Kunstrasen as well as it has played songs from our label.
